As a graduate of California State University, Monterey Bay, where she completed a dual major in Psychology and Social Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Archaeology. Her academic journey has been supported by notable scholarships, including The Women’s Leadership Council Scholarship and The Regional Live Your Dream Award from Soroptimist Carmel Bay. Heather serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Monterey County Historical Society, Inc., where she is actively involved in vital projects such as transcribing the Index of the Mexican Archives of Monterey County and cataloging Spanish and Mexican era documents at the Boronda Adobe History Center.

In addition to her volunteer work, Heather has engaged in archaeological monitoring and survey work with Dudek, an environmental firm in Northern California. This role allowed her to directly contribute to the preservation and understanding of the region’s archaeological sites. Heather is also pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at National University. Through her diverse experiences, she is dedicated to promoting public appreciation for archaeology and California’s rich cultural heritage, while fostering inclusive narratives that honor all voices.
